Our review

Modento built patient communication and management software for dental practices. Dental Intelligence acquired it in March 2021, and the acquisition announcement describes Modento as handling patient interaction before, during and after appointments. Features include two-way communication, reminders and confirmations, and digital forms and check-in.

Today, modento.io redirects to dentalintel.com. On its site, Dental Intelligence describes patient engagement workflows that sit alongside its analytics, syncing with the practice's PMS in the background, with "AI-powered insights" and automation that can run as hands-on or hands-free as the practice wants.

That matters for buyers. You'll be evaluating, buying and getting support for this functionality through Dental Intelligence, usually as part of a bigger platform.

Who it's for: practices already using or considering Dental Intelligence that want its patient messaging and forms.

Watch-outs: ask Dental Intelligence which engagement features are included in your package, and whether the Modento patient app is still offered under that name. Pricing isn't published.
