YAPI focuses on the paperwork and confirmation side of the front desk. Online forms connect to the practice management system, which removes printing, scanning and re-keying. Patients can confirm by text or email and book from a link in a message. Recall reminders help reduce cancellations. YAPI also checks eligibility across 200+ insurers, with status indicators for expired benefits and data mismatches.

YAPI says it integrates with Dentrix Office, Dentrix Ascend, Eaglesoft and Open Dental, plus specific integrations for other popular features. Its marketing is all about dental teams, and that's its strength.

Who it's for: offices on one of the four supported PMSs that mainly want to go paperless and cut confirmation calls.

Watch-outs: if you're on another PMS, YAPI may not be an option. Ask how quickly support responds and which features cost extra.
