Cherry is a point-of-sale financing platform for out-of-pocket treatment. The practice is paid up front, and the patient pays over time. Plans range from six weeks interest-free to 60 months, with qualifying 0% APR options. Cherry says applying doesn't require a hard credit check and that there's no deferred interest. Loan amounts go up to $50,000.

Cherry's disclosures list APRs from 0% to 35.99% and terms from 1 to 60 months. The company says it serves 60,000 healthcare providers across dental, aesthetics, vision, veterinary and other fields, and that offices can usually start the same day.

Who it's for: practices with larger out-of-pocket cases (implants, ortho, cosmetic) that want to improve case acceptance without carrying the patient's balance.

Watch-outs: compare merchant fees against Sunbit and CareCredit for your average ticket. Make sure patients understand the APR range. Financing isn't a membership plan and doesn't build recurring revenue.
