Our review

VideaHealth rebranded as Videa in April 2026 and extended its platform from large DSOs to independent practices. Videa's first FDA clearance, Videa Caries Assist (K213795, April 2022), covers detecting and locating caries on bitewing x-rays in adults 22 and older. A later clearance, Videa Dental Assist (K232384), built on it. In its announcement of the first clearance, Videa reported that dentists using the AI in the FDA study missed 43% fewer caries. That's the company's summary of its own study.

The platform has since grown to more than eight products, including Clinical Assist, Voice Notes, Clean Claims and AutoVerify. Videa says 90,000+ clinicians use it, and it names DSO customers such as Heartland Dental and Gen4 Dental Partners. It also reports a 20% lift in case acceptance and 10% same-store growth. Both figures are vendor-reported.

Who it's for: groups and DSOs that want focused detection support with a track record at scale, and practices that may later add documentation or claims tools.

Watch-outs: the sources we reviewed don't publish a list of supported imaging systems or pricing. Confirm both, and check whether the clearances cover the patient ages and image types you use most.

Our take: 8.3. The FDA evidence is strong, but its detection scope is narrower than the two leaders and it publishes less about integrations.
